Basketball Recap: Wilcox-Hildreth Piles Up the Points Against Franklin

Wilcox-Hildreth won the last time they faced Franklin and things went their way on Friday too. The Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons breezed by the Franklin Flyers to the tune of 54-26. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Falcons had established a 26 point advantage.

Wilcox-Hildreth was led to victory by Madison Bunger and Cara Bunger. Madison dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Cara went 6 for 11 on her way to 13 points along with six boards and six steals. Madison is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last six games she's played. Madison Sheen was another key player, putting up seven points and six boards.

Wilcox-Hildreth smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.

Wilcox-Hildreth has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Franklin, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-15.

Wilcox-Hildreth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-20 win against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller on the 3rd. As for Franklin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-16 victory against Giltner on the 1st.
