Tinley Park has gone 6-1 against Reavis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Titans will look to defend their home field against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. Tinley Park is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
While Tinley Park's win against Evergreen Park wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Titans had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Aubry Haack spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Tinley Park's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Emily Nuskiewicz, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Reavis, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Argo a 7-0 shutout on Monday. Considering the Rams have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
The result came thanks to Jessica Robitz's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up 11 Ks.
On the hitting side, Juliana Chalupa was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Sienna Aragones, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Reavis is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Tinley Park, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-10.
Tinley Park's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's match. The Titans have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Reavis, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Tinley Park continue to outrun the ball?
Tinley Park came out on top in a nail-biter against Reavis when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
