Basketball Game Preview: Savannah Athletic Association Jaguars vs. Pinewood Christian Patriots

The Savannah Athletic Association Jaguars are taking a road trip to square off against the Pinewood Christian Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Savannah Athletic Association comes in on seven and Pinewood Christian on four.

Last Thursday, Savannah Athletic Association blew past Heritage Christian Academy, posting a 68-29 victory. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Chloe McNew continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 34 points. The contest was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Natalie Santos was another key player, posting 18 points.

While Pinewood Christian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Augusta Prep Day 42-4 on Friday. That 38 point margin sets a new team best for the Patriots this season.

Savannah Athletic Association is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.1 points per game. As for Pinewood Christian, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-2.
