At the plate, Ariana Davitt was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lilianna Lenceski, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Holy Cross won against Lakeland on Thursday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Crusaders put the hurt on Riverside with a sharp 10-1 win.
AVA SCHMIDT was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. SCHMIDT was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on JULES GALELLA, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one stolen base. LILA KOLCHARNO was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one double.
Holy Cross always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverside only posted an OBP of .176.
Old Forge's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Holy Cross, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Old Forge has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. However, it's not like Holy Cross struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
