The Mesquite Wildcats can now show off 16 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They breezed by Marcos de Niza on the road to the tune of 85-7. The victory was nothing new for Mesquite as they're now sitting on six straight.
Mesquite got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was kahlia Gonzales out in front who scored eight points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Skylie Gonzales, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Mesquite has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season. As for Marcos de Niza, they are on a 19-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-22.
Mesquite will head out on the road to challenge the Sabercats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saguaro is on a three-game streak of home wins, the Wildcats a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Marcos de Niza does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
