Victorino Jr. Posts Huge Game in 30-14 Win
Starting off the list is Laguna Acoma's Derek Victorino Jr., who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Victorino Jr. rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Newcomb's probably not too fond of Victorino Jr. given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in August of 2023 (the last time Victorino Jr. saw the Skyhawks), he rushed for 90 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 124 yards and a touchdown on only 11 passes.

Newcomb was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Kinjii Natonabah did his best to prevent it. Natonabah was dynamite, rushing for 71 yards and two touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making seven total tackles.
Newcomb is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4. Natonabah and Newcomb will play host again on Thursday to welcome Cuba, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.
