Hannah Gilbert was her usual excellent self, going 8 of 14 on her way to 19 points along with eight boards and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Haleigh Benoit, who posted eight points in addition to six boards and three steals.
Franklin County Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 25 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Springfield Renaissance's strategy against Ludlow on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Springfield Renaissance blew Ludlow out of the water with an 81-20 final score. Springfield Renaissance found their leader in sophomore Sy'Nye Baker, who had 20 points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zi'Yan Wallace, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards.
Springfield Renaissance pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 59 points. As for Franklin County Tech, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Franklin County Tech has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 42.1 rebounds per game.
