It was another big night for Jeffrey Sturges, who went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 2 assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Steamboat Springs' points. Charlie Reisman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Steamboat Springs' victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6. As for Rifle, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Steamboat Springs and Aspen will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Aspen is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. As for Rifle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Delta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Tucker Johnson and Logan Gross.
