While Vancleave's win against St. Patrick wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vancleave Bulldogs skirted past the St. Patrick Fighting Irish 5-3. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Fighting Irish recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Carter Doze looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Vancleave's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Max Bates, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave Bates a new career-high in stolen bases. Another was Hunter Harper, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Vancleave's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for St. Patrick, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-6.

Vancleave wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 16-8 win against Starkville on the 10th. As for St. Patrick, they will square off against Tylertown at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games St. Patrick has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
