Kauffman can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They snuck past Summit Christian Academy with a 60-55 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given Kauffman's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Summit Christian Academy is ranked fourth).
Despite the loss, Summit Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Max Rieger, who scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Mike Thomas iii was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Kauffman's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Summit Christian Academy, they have yet to win a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 3-1 record.
Kauffman's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mexico at 2:30 p.m. on December 8th. Mexico will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. As for Summit Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Pleasant Hope at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
