The Skaneateles Lakers will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Cazenovia Lakers at 6:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Skaneateles gave their fans yet another huge win two weeks ago. They really took it to Solvay for the full four quarters, racking up a 45-16 win on the road. The victory was just what Skaneateles needed coming off of a 47-27 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Cazenovia's eight-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Solvay 58-23 at home. Cazenovia's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
The win got Skaneateles back to even at 5-5. As for Cazenovia, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9.
Skaneateles was able to grind out a solid victory over Cazenovia when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 49-38. Does Skaneateles have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cazenovia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
