South Hills is 0-10 against North Side since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The South Hills Scorpions will head out on the road to challenge the North Side Steers at 7:30 p.m. South Hills comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Tuesday, South Hills was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 1-0 to Trimble Tech. That was the first shutout South Hills has experienced all season.
North Side suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 56-35 loss at the hands of Wyatt. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat North Side has suffered against Wyatt since January 26, 2021.
South Hills dropped their record down to 3-27 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.1 points per game. As for North Side, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.
South Hills came up short against North Side in their previous matchup on January 2nd, falling 19-13. Can South Hills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
