After flying high against the Brookings-Harbor Bruins last Monday, the North Bend Bulldogs came back down to earth. North Bend took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Creswell. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Bend in their matchups with Creswell: they've now lost four in a row.
North Bend lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Paolo Flores, who scored 12 points along with eight assists. The matchup was Flores' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Mickelson, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
North Bend's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-2. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Creswell, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Bend won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pendleton at 2:30 p.m. on December 9th. Pendleton is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Creswell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglas at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
