The Page Sand Devils waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They came out on top against Chinle by a score of 69-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Page was led to victory by Maximus Reid and Tyree Stingley. Reid scored 17 points along with four steals, while Stingley scored 27 points along with six rebounds. Stingley is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Bryce Williams was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six assists and two steals.
Page is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Chinle, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.
Page on the road again on Saturday and play against Alchesay at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th. As for Chinle, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Kingman at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Kingman focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 last Tuesday.
