Baseball Recap: Connellsville Wins Going Away Against Uniontown

Connellsville barely beat Uniontown the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Connellsville Falcons were the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over the Uniontown Red Raiders on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now won four in a row.

Gradin Hodge made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Hodge was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Linkon Keller, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Matthew Firestone was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-2.

Connellsville now has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Uniontown, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
