Haysville Campus has gone a perfect 9-0 against South recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Colts will take on the Titans. Haysville Campus' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so South's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Haysville Campus is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Rose Hill with a sharp 13-1 win on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Colts with their most commanding win of the season.
Trace Van Asdale made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Van Asdale was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

In other pitching news, Ethan Powers looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Hagen Warkins was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Schroeder, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Haysville Campus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 30th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Northwest, falling 23-2.
The victory made it two in a row for Haysville Campus and bumps their season record up to 16-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for South, their loss dropped their record down to 0-22.
Haysville Campus took their victory against South in their previous matchup back in March of 2019 by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
