Everything went their way against the Spring Valley Vikings on Friday as the Irmo Yellow Jackets made off with a 16-2 victory. Irmo got a great performance from Kyler Baker as he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Baker has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Reece Dawkins was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayllen Fray, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.
Irmo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
