Basketball Recap: Burns Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

If South wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Burns, they should've done a better job of containing Josie Barrett. The Broncs blew past the Bison 61-27 on Friday with plenty of help from Barrett, who went 9-for-18 to rack up 21 points and six steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Burns has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 57 points this season. As for South, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Burns didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-33 defeat against Big Horn on the 12th. South has also already played their next matchup (against Pine Bluffs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
