Burleson had lost four straight headed into Friday's contest, but Nathan Jackson didn't let it get to five. The Elks took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 41-12 victory over the Everman Bulldogs for which the team can thank Jackson, who rushed for 236 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 103.5 rushing yards per game.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Burleson's defense and their four sacks. Donya Armstrong was especially locked on to Everman's QB and sacked him twice. Armstrong is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last 20 games he's played dating back to last season. Burleson got some further help from Lawson Blanchard: he forced one fumble and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Although Everman took the loss, they still got scores from Player #14 and Barrington Stricklin.

Burleson's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Everman, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

As of now, neither Burleson nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
