Mio-Au Sable has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Hillman Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mio-Au Sable will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 189th, while Hillman is ranked 42nd).
Last Thursday, Mio-Au Sable got the win against Fairview by a conclusive 52-28.
Meanwhile, even though Oscoda scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, Hillman still came out on top. Hillman slipped by Oscoda 57-56. Hillman's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Trenton Taratuta was a one-man wrecking crew for Hillman as he scored 41 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. The matchup was Taratuta's third in a row with at least ten points. Blake Kennard was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Mio-Au Sable now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Hillman, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Mio-Au Sable came up short against Hillman when the teams last played back in March, falling 63-53. Can Mio-Au Sable avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
