Volleyball Recap: Montini Catholic Gets the Win

Montini Catholic won the last time they faced Latin and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Broncos walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Romans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncos.

While Montini Catholic won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24.

Francesca Lorenzo paced Montini Catholic's offense, picking up seven kills. Lorenzo got some help from Avalyn DeKeyser and her 19 assists. Audrey Ruddy controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Montini Catholic's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Latin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montini Catholic will head out to face off against Saint Ignatius College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Latin, they will venture away from home to take on Payton College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
