Grant came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Jefferson Democrats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-0 on Wednesday.

Grant's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Jefferson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Coming up, Grant will venture away from home to challenge Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson, they will host Roosevelt at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Roughriders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.44 runs per game on average), something the Democrats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
