Firebaugh has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Dos Palos Broncos at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Firebaugh pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 73-56 fall against Mendota.
Meanwhile, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Dos Palos made off with a 51-50 victory over the Buccaneers. The victory was just what Dos Palos needed coming off of a 65-31 defeat in their prior game.
Firebaugh has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for Dos Palos, their victory bumped their record up to 5-17.
Firebaugh didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Broncos in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 53-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Firebaugh since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
