Softball Recap: Boone Has No Trouble Against Colonial

Boone never got on the board in their matchup last Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Colonial on Monday. They put the hurt on the Grenadiers with a sharp 16-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Braves, who have now won seven matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Emma Wolfgramm was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Kalyn Woods was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Boone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Boone now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Colonial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Boone will be playing in front of their home fans against Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in the Braves' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Patriots have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Colonial, they will take on Innovation at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
