Softball Recap: Twin Falls' Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Twin Falls's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Minico Spartans 17-2. Considering the Bruins have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Molly Hodge was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Hudson, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Twin Falls was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Twin Falls moved to 4-9 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Minico, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Twin Falls will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Spartans: the pair will be back at it again later today.
