Plainfield East had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Minooka Indians on Thursday. The contest marked the Bengals' most dominant win of the season so far.

Plainfield East never let Minooka on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23.

Minooka's loss came despite strong showings from Gavin Brandani and Bennett Robinson. Brandani had nine digs and two aces, while Robinson had seven digs and one block.

Plainfield East's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Minooka, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Plainfield East will be taking part in a tournament against Rockford Auburn at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Minooka, they are taking a road trip to take on Lincoln-Way West at 5:29 p.m. on Monday.
