The Skyview Storm will stay at home for another week and welcome the Skyline Spartans at 2:00 p.m. on November 11th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Skyview put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bethel 49-21 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.
Skyview relied on the efforts of Gavin Packer, who picked up 166 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and Jake Kennedy, who threw for 253 yards and six touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes. Packer was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 69 yards. Another player making a difference was Riley Artis, who picked up 47 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Skyline ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Puyallup and snuck past 25-22. The win was familiar territory for Skyline who now have three in a row.
Skyview pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Skyline, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Skyview skirted past Skyline 34-31 in their previous matchup back in November of 2014. Will Skyview repeat their success, or does Skyline have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
