Life Center Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elijah Brown led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The match was Brown's 17th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Al-Tariq Reevey, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds.
Phelps has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Life Center Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-7.
Phelps will be playing in front of their home fans against Varsity Opponent at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Life Center Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against The City School at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The City School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 319th in Pennsylvania, while Life Center Academy is ranked 153rd in New Jersey).
