Christian Family Educators fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Newton HomeSchool Panthers on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a hard 35-21 fall against the Panthers. The loss means Christian Family Educators is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
Newton HomeSchool can attribute much of their success to Rachel Graham, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Ella Renninger, who scored six points along with five blocks and four steals.
Christian Family Educators' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Newton HomeSchool, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Christian Family Educators will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Manhattan Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on February 12th. As for Newton HomeSchool, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wichita Defenders HomeSchool at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
