Saraland has gone a perfect 3-0 against Wetumpka recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Spartans will look to defend their home field against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Saraland is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Last Friday, Saraland got the win against Theodore by a conclusive 38-14. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 24 points or more this season.

Jamison Roberts had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 308 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 19 passes, while also rushing for 43 yards and two scores. Those 308 passing yards gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of Roberts' aerial production (103 yards to be exact) went to Sye Byrd, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Meanwhile, Wetumpka strolled past Demopolis with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 23-7.
Wetumpka found their leader in sophomore Bobo Browning, who made eight total tackles and defended three passes in addition to snagging two interceptions. Charles Skipper's passing game has become a key predictor of the Indians' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-4 otherwise.
Wetumpka didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Browning led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Another thorn in Demopolis' side was Walter Myrick, who made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Saraland's record is now 9-0. As for Wetumpka, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 6-4.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Roberts and Skipper. Roberts just won't slow down this season and has thrown 24 touchdowns while averaging 211.2 passing yards per game. Skipper has been a dominant force too and has thrown 25 touchdowns while averaging 232.1 passing yards per game.
Everything came up roses for Saraland against Wetumpka in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, as the team secured a 48-14 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Indians' Nate Rogers, who rushed for 118 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 127 yards on 11 of 24 attempts. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Spartans to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
