In other batting news, Tarrin McCrone was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Carrington Scott was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Thursday. Chipley put the hurt on Malone with a sharp 16-0 victory.
Like Altha, Chipley also got a great game from a two-way player: Lauren Waits. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. Waits has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.
In other batting news, Jadyn Pettis and Adalyn Nelson did most of the damage at the plate: Pettis got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Nelson went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kenzlee Nelson, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Chipley is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Altha, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
Altha couldn't quite get it done against Chipley in their previous matchup back in February as they fell 7-2. Will the Wildcats have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
