Basketball Recap: Sienna Campbell Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis

There's no place like home for Rivers of Life Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis Crusaders by a score of 38-25 on Thursday. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crusaders, too.

Rivers of Life Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sienna Campbell out in front who posted eight points and ten rebounds. Campbell has become a key player for Rivers of Life Christian: the team is undefeated when she posts at least ten boards, but 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ali Thompson, who put up ten points and eight rebounds.

Rivers of Life Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis only pulled down six offensive rebounds.

Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoey Zamarripa, who went 6 for 15 en route to 12 points in addition to five boards and four steals. That was a full 48% of Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis' points, marking the fourth time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. Zuri King was another key player, putting up four points and 14 rebounds.

Rivers of Life Christian now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
