This season hasn't been kind to The Bourgade Catholic Golden Eagles, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They were dealt a 45-6 defeat at the hands of San Tan Foothills on Friday. Bourgade Catholic was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-0.
Eli Salas threw for 84 yards and a touchdown. Joaquin LaBorin was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards and a touchdown.
San Tan Foothills was led to victory by Colton Hoffman and Da'merrion Person. Hoffman rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while Person rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.
Bourgade Catholic's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 4.0 points per game. As for San Tan Foothills, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
