The New Franklin Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Fayette Falcons, and things went their way on Tuesday too. New Franklin managed a 54-49 victory over Fayette.
When it comes to explaining why Fayette lost, one person who can't be blamed is Oakleigh Hill. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points along with 3 steals. Hill scored a full 40.8% of Fayette's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Browyn Eubanks, who scored 9 points along with 6 steals.
New Franklin now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fayette, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Franklin will take on Westran at TBD on Thursday. Hopefully Westran focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. As for Fayette, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marceline on Thursday.
