The Freeburg Midgets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Roxana Shells at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Freeburg can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 56-49 victory over Gibault Catholic.
Cole Stuart was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Browning, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Roxana beat Southwestern 53-48 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Roxana.
Roxana found their leader in underclassman Sean Maberry, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Another player making a difference was Aidan Briggs, who scored 11 points.
Freeburg's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Roxana, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Freeburg against Roxana in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 57-30 victory. Will Freeburg repeat their success, or does Roxana have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
