Palmer hasn't had much luck against Colony recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Moose will head out on the road to face off against the Knights at 1:30 p.m. Colony took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Palmer, who comes in off a win.
Palmer came out on top against West Anchorage on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run first inning. The Moose walked away with a 10-5 win over the Eagles. The Moose's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Palmer let Reed Craner and Jacob Rockey run wild. Craner went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Rockey went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI. Craner is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Zander Landon also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Palmer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Colony was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 9-6 to Soldotna.
Colony saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Carlson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Boman Marks was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Colony's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Palmer, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Colony's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Palmer has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Colony, though, as they've been averaging only 3.5 strikeouts. Will Palmer keep running through batters, or will the Knights buck the trend?
Palmer suffered a grim 19-0 defeat to Colony in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Moose avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
