The Rock Hills Grizzlies pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-58 to Lakeside. Even though they lost, Rock Hills' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 52 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the loss, Rock Hills still got an impressive performance from Cooper McDill, who scored 27 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds. McDill scored a full 46.6% of Rock Hills' points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Eli Whelchel, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds.
Lakeside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ian Kresin out in front who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Remus, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Rock Hills and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Lakeside, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Rock Hills' road trip will continue as they head out to face Stockton at 5:00 p.m. on December 8th. Stockton is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Lakeside, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Thunder Ridge.
