If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Oklahoma Christian. They have had some extra time to regroup and restrategize before their next match, which is against Oklahoma Centennial at 7:00 PM on Thursday. Oklahoma Christian will be hoping to build upon the 47-14 win they picked up against Oklahoma Centennial the last time they played.
Things could have been worse for Oklahoma Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 30-47 loss to Metro Christian two weeks ago. Oklahoma Christian got a solid performance out of senior Calyn Halvorson, who picked up 174 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma Centennial were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Friday, as they fell 8-13 to Star-Spencer.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
