The Humble Christian Cougars's game back in November was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They breezed by Faith Christian at home to the tune of 47-13. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 23-2.
Humble Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lilly McMullen, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which McMullen has scored at least 25% of Humble Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Kelly Paulk, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds.
The victory got Humble Christian back to even at 2-2. As for Faith Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Humble Christian will square off against Bob Hope at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bob Hope comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Faith Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against School of the Woods at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
