Football Game Preview: Central Dauphin Rams vs. Cumberland Valley Eagles

The Central Dauphin Rams will take on the Cumberland Valley Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Central Dauphin took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 28-20 win over Chambersburg.

Isaac Hodgson was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 120 yards and three scores. Those 120 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Jadyn Johnson got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Central Dauphin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 247 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Central Dauphin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Peyton Wylie and Johnson.

Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last game, Cumberland Valley made sure to put some points up on the board against Cedar Cliff on Friday. The Eagles claimed a resounding 48-17 victory over the Colts. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Central Dauphin's record now sits at 4-6. As for Cumberland Valley, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Central Dauphin came up short against Cumberland Valley in their previous matchup back in September, falling 24-15. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Eagles' Colton Stamy, who threw for 177 yards and one TD while completing 71.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 35 yards and one touchdown. Now that the Rams know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
