The Jefferson Christian Academy Eagles posted their closest win yet this season on Friday. They had just enough and edged Victory Christian out 48-45. The win made it back-to-back wins for Jefferson Christian Academy.
Allison Wormely was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 14 blocks. She hasn't dropped below two blocks for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Jada Washington, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Jefferson Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Victory Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson Christian Academy will take on Talladega County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Victory Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Appalachian at 4:30 p.m. on January 20th. Appalachian is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
