The Monrovia Bulldogs posted their biggest victory yet this season on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 57-13 victory over Crawfordsville on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Monrovia also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Mary Cox continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with two steals. Emma Pridemore was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Despite the loss, Crawfordsville saw an underclassman step up: Olivia Hedrick scored five points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Hodges, who scored no points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Crawfordsville struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Monrovia racked up 16 assists.
Monrovia now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Crawfordsville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.
Monrovia will be playing at home against Indianapolis Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Indianapolis Lutheran will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Crawfordsville, they will head out on the road to square off against Covington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Covington is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
