The Olean Huskies will head out on the road to take on the Dunkirk Marauders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dunkirk took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Olean, who comes in off a win.
Olean took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. Everything went their way against Lewiston-Porter as Olean made off with a 29-7 victory.
Among those leading the charge was Joe Mest, who threw for 208 yards and three touchdowns. 83 of those passing yards were hauled in by Dom Giovine, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Olean's defense and their five sacks. Manoah Miketish was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up threehimself. Another thorn in Lewiston-Porter's side was Noah Gallo, who picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Dunkirk was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 24-0 to Griffith Institute.
Olean now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Dunkirk, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
