Timothy Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Montini Catholic Broncos. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19.

Trevor Munk paced Timothy Christian's offense, picking up 12 kills. Munk got some help from Owen Wise and his 21 assists. Wise was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timothy Christian will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on York at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Montini Catholic, they will host Kankakee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
