Hampton Roads Academy lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Christchurch School, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's match. Hampton Roads Academy never let Christchurch School get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Saturday. The Navigators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by nine runs or more this season.

Tyler Motley made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over eight innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and one double. He has become a key player for Hampton Roads Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 1-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, Sam Overman and Elijah Williams did most of the damage at the plate: Overman scored a run and stole a base, while Williams scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Drew Lee, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Hampton Roads Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christchurch School struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Peninsula Catholic came up short against Warhill on Thursday, falling 21-6.
Billy Nice was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. He also put up a run, which was his first of the season.
The victory was the third in a row for Hampton Roads Academy, bringing their record up to 4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Peninsula Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Peninsula Catholic's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hampton Roads Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .353. It's a different story for Peninsula Catholic, though, as they've only averaged .239. Will they be able to contain Hampton Roads Academy's hitters?
