After a string of three wins, the Beekmantown Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Harrisville by a score of 49-46. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Beekmantown has scored all season.
Harrisville was led to victory by Tanner Sullivan and Joe Shepherd. Sullivan scored 16 points, while Shepherd scored 12 points. Sullivan hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Liam Winters was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Beekmantown's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Harrisville, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beekmantown will take on AuSable Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. AuSable Valley has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8. As for Harrisville, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Ogdensburg Free Academy at 7:00 p.m. Ogdensburg Free Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 647th, while Harrisville is ranked 85th).
