The Hoopa Valley Warriors lost against the Arcata Tigers back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Hoopa Valley was outmatched by Arcata on the road and fell 73-45. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hoopa Valley in their matchups with Arcata: they've now lost six in a row.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Neil Moon, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lyle Mckinnon, who scored 12 points.
Arcata's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kalani Butor, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Luke Lemke was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists and five steals.
Hoopa Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Arcata, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-10.
Hoopa Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Arcata also has no future games currently scheduled.
