The DuQuoin Indians lost against the Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. DuQuoin took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Anna-Jonesboro. DuQuoin has struggled against Anna-Jonesboro recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trelin Smith, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dwayne Wilmington, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
DuQuoin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Anna-Jonesboro, their win bumped their record up to 16-13.
DuQuoin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 84-57 loss vs. Massac County on the 10th. Anna-Jonesboro has also already played their next match, a 51-47 defeat against Pinckneyville on the 10th.
