In other batting news, Taylor Hudson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Gabbie Carmichael, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Adrian never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Wellington-Napoleon last Monday. They were the clear victors by a 20-3 margin over the Tigers. Considering the Blackhawks' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Adrian got a massive performance out of Olivia Engeman, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizzie Clifton, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Adrian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Butler now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Adrian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
