San Juan extended their winning streak to five on Monday, bumping their season record up to 17-4 in the process. Everything went their way against the Duchesne Eagles as they made off with a 14-4 victory. Considering the Broncos have won 11 matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Jaiten Knight made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
In other batting news, Branten Bethea was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Cooper Palmer was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three doubles and two runs.
San Juan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive contests.
